Ashwin’s Goodbye
Lyea stood in the darkened hut, elbows resting on the window ledge which was built especially low in consideration of the fairy's diminutive stature. She stared out into the darkness. She saw the various creatures of the forest as they flitted through the trees. But tonight, they weren't her focus at all. Tonight, she thought of her tall dark lover. The warrior who had ravished her body heart and soul, and swept her lovingly off her feet, onto the back of a horse, and away from that home she so recently learned was ravaged by men. The warrior who taught her that pleasure and pain went together like trees and forest, animals and fur. They could not be separated for the dark warrior, nor could they be separated now for the wood nymph herself.
Lately Lyea saw the light of memory in her lovers eyes; the look of foreboding and despair. She knew that her lover longed to go home, to see her family again and to discover what became of them after the raid which nearly ended Ash's own life so long ago. What she did not understand was why they didn’t just go and investigate if Ash wanted this so badly. Lyea knew that the time was coming when she would ask Ash what was in her heart, but she also knew that forcing the issue could lead to a severe beating, which she wasn't ready to face so soon after her experience in the fairy realms.
Ash stooped to grab another log to add to the pile in her arms, the heaviness when she stood back up came from her heart and not from the logs in her muscled arms. She looked around at the beauty of the tribal lands they lived in and wondered why she couldn't just accept and be happy. But she couldn't. Her warrior’s heart had to know. She couldn’t rest without knowing what happened to her family and the rest of her clan. But leaving this group of strong and wonderful women, in this and of peace would be the hardest thing she ever did.
But the other issue on her mind was her own precious wood nymph. She owned the small woman, body and soul since the moment she took her with dark passion on the edge of the lake in a far away forest. She was as much a part of Ash as an arm or a leg, but she knew deep down that lyea could not go with her on this journey. She belonged here, in the forest, with women who cared for her, where she would be safe. Ash would be going to a city, where her precious fairy would slowly waste away from lack of the trees which nourished her soul. It left a hole in her heart, and an ache in a place she didn’t know existed within her, but it was something she knew she had to do.
Lyea looked up when her lover entered the hut, and saw the look of determination mixed with desperation on her face.
"What is it, love?" lyea asked quietly.
Ash looked at her little wood nymph with the pain and the love showing naked in her eyes. "I have to go, love. I have to find out what happened to my family. When you found me, lying in the forest, and nursed me back to health, I thought you were the most beautiful creature ever to walk Mother Earth. I still do. And when I left you the first time to find my clan, I found no trace. Nothing! So I came back to the one creature I knew would bring me peace. And when I found you again, I said I'd never let anything separate us. But, love…."
"But what, Ash? It won't take any time at all to pack, and the Tribe will welcome us back if we ever do come back this way," replied lyea, already turning and beginning to pull things from the shelf.
"You're not going with me, lyea," whispered Ash.
"Don't be silly," snapped the nymph, her hands beginning to shake.
"Lyea, you can't go with me. I've already decided, love. You're staying here, with these women who will love you and take care of you. I'm going into a city, lyea. You can’t live in one, we both know that."
"So I'll live in the forest outside the city! You can't just leave me, Ash. You promised. You promised you'd never leave me!" cried lyea. She dropped to her knees, sobbing into her hands.
Ash went pale, her hands clenched into fists at her sides, her eyes closed and her heart broke at the sound of her loved ones sobs. "Please, lyea, you have to understand. I have to protect you, like I said I would. I love you with everything I am. You're my world, and I would die if anything happened to you. At least with you here, I know you're safe, and I can ride like the wind in my search, and get back to you as fast as I can."
Lyea sobbed through her hands, "you wont come back. You'll leave me forever, Ash. Do you not love me anymore? I'll do anything you want, Ash. I'll be good. I won't misbehave anymore, I swear. I'll obey perfectly. Please Ash, please don't leave me."
Ash dropped to her knees in front of lyea and wrapped her strong arms around the little one, pulling her hard into her lap, against her chest. "lyea, please. Please love. Please understand. I love you more than anything in the world. More than there are stars in the sky and grains of sand on all of Mother Earths beaches. And that's why you have to stay. I'm sorry, love, but I'm not changing my mind. If you love me, obey me in this last request before I leave."
Lyea sobbed against the warrior’s chest for what seemed like an eternity. She felt her soul rip out along with her heart. She gave up a portion of her immorality to be with this human, had given up her heart when she never gave it to any other. And now, she was losing it like this. "At least touch me, before you go… like you used to, Ash. It's been so long."
Ash rubbed her cheek against the fairy's baby soft hair, letting her own hair absorb the tears that ever before fell from the warrior’s eyes. "Yes love. So that your body does not forget that you are owned; that you belong to no one but me, and are to be touched by none but me. Do you understand? No one, until I return."
"I don't want anyone else, Ash. I want only you. I want to go with you. I still don't understand why…"
But Ash silenced lyea with a kiss that reached down to both of their souls, and made both women's centers clench. Tongues mingling with tongues, the passion of impending separation suddenly added fuel to what was already needed between them. Ash reached up and grasped the nymph’s long hair, gently tugging it backwards, exposing her neck. She drew her tongue down the soft skin, nipping and biting her way down to the collar bone. She didn’t let go of the gentle force on lyea’s hair. She listened to the small woman's breathing begin to quicken. Ash reached up and slid the fairy cloth off lyea’s shoulder, biting a path along where the cloth slid off. Lyea sighed and pushed her body toward Ash. Suddenly Ash scooped her up in strong arms, her mouth not leaving lyea’s, and strode to the bed in long steps. In three quick movements she had the nymph naked on the bed before her, and just stood staring down at her, memorizing every trace and curve of her pale suppleness in the moonlight.
Lyea reached up her arms and whispered, "Ash."
Ash fell on lyea like an animal on its prey, biting, nipping, and tweaking sensitive nipples until the nymph cried out, only to pinch them harder until the nymph sank into her warrior in the ecstasy of pain, taking what the strong woman would give her. She drew her nails lightly down the nymphs skin, leaving light trails of red from her collar bone to her center, where her fingers disappeared into the depths of her center, making her moan and arch her back off the bed, willing to take as much of the warrior inside as she possibly could.
Ash leaned down and whispered heavily into the beautiful woman's ear "I need to hurt you tonight, love; to remind both of us that we belong to each other. I need you to take all that I can give tonight. Can you?"
lyea's response was to press harder into Ash. Her body tingled with anticipation and need. She knew this would be her last chance to show Ashwin just how much she truly loved her.
With a sudden growl, Ash leaned up and flipped the fairy on her stomach, pressing her shoulders down into the bed with one hand, and running her hand over the nymph’s smooth ass with the other. Then she brought the hand down hard, over and over again. She watched her handprint show up neatly on the nymphs white skin, turning the pert white butt crimson. Ashwin reveled in the screams and moans of the woman beneath her. "This is only the beginning of a long night, but you'll take it, wont you love?" Ash asked.
Lyea nodded, her face buried in the pillow, her ass on fire.
"Good girl," said the warrior, lightly running her hand over the red hot area of the girls butt. She knew how much it was hurting.
Lyea flinched when Ash got up off the bed. She heard the warrior’s belt being pulled from her breeches. The belt was laid next to her on the bed, and her hands were gently pulled over her head and fastened to a bolt Ash put over the bed. Then Ash tied each leg to either side of the bed, opening the nymph to Ash's view.
"Yessss," Ash hissed quietly from between her teeth. She picked up the belt, brought it down lightly on the immobile nymphs back, watched her jump from the contact and then she brought it down again and again, sometimes hard, sometimes soft; back, shoulders, ass, thighs, inner thighs. Every once in a while she aimed for that tender spot so brilliantly open to her. She listened to the woman's screams and begging pleas. More than anything, Ash watched the fluid of need flow from between the wood nymphs thighs. It dripped down onto the blanket below with every hit of the belt.
When lyea’s sobs turned soft, Ash knew that the wood nymph could no longer handle the belt. She laid it aside and stared at the crimson markings all over the little woman's body. Ash took off her own shirt. She laid on top of the still tied body, absorbing the heat of the welts with her own breasts, reveling in the moans of the nymph under her.
"Are you ready for me, love?" Ash whispered into lyea's hair.
"Please, Ash. Please take me," lyea whispered back.
And with that, Ash lost what little control she had left. She drove two fingers into the small woman's center, closing her eyes as the woman's moans filled the hut. Then drawing her fingers out again, she reached down and removed the phallus she wore, rubbing it against the small woman, listening to her breathing once again grow fast and harsh. Ash undid the ties at lyea’s wrists, but left her ankles tied. Ash pulled the naked nymph backwards onto her lap and thrust the phallus in one hard move into lyea’s open core. She threw her head back and groaned at the fairy's screams of ecstasy, and holding onto her hips, thrust hard and deep, knowing that the nymph would barely be able to walk at all on the morrow.
Lyea's climax came fast and hard. Electricity flashed through her wings. She tossed her head back, her back arched hard.
Ash collapsed on top of the fairy, their breathing came together in rasps. Ash gently and slowly pulled out of the small woman, still enthralled by lyea’s cries of pain. Then the warrior unlatched the wood nymph’s small ankles from the bed posts and massaged lyea’s thighs back to life.
Lyea felt Ash lay down next to her, and she moved to cuddle next her, not feeling like she could ever get close enough. She drifted off to sleep, not thinking about what would take place in the morning, just glad that they had had tonight's pleasure to carry them through.
Ash watched lyea sleeping in the early morning light. The Fairy’s skin was like cream and her sweet breath tickled Ash’s neck. They reinforced their bond last night, but this morning she still had to go. She made a few decisions during the night. She hardly slept at all, wanting only to look at the woman who held her heart so dear. She wanted to memorize every little thing about the 200 year old woman she trusted with her life.
Quietly, Ash slipped from the bed, grabbed parchment and quill. She scripted a letter to the Fianna of the Tribe, explaining her departure and making requests on lyea's behalf:
Dear Morgan
Beautiful leader, I must depart from this wonderful land and exquisite tribe of women. I journey to my homeland to find out what happened to my kin after my land came under attack. But I leave behind my most precious treasure in the world; the wood nymph, lyea. I cannot risk her life by traveling through cities and over plains that will take her far from the forests she needs in order to survive. I know she will be safe and cared for here. In this respect, I ask you, great Fianna, one favor. My little fairy has a tendency towards mischief and running amok. Also, I believe that she will try to follow me once I am gone. I ask that you give the task of discipline and care to either Nessa and/or Caitlin, as I have seen how they treat their own women, and would trust them to treat lyea in a worthy fashion as well.
I fear that she will never forgive me for leaving, and I can only hope that I will be able to beg her forgiveness in person upon my return one day. Until then, blessings and peace upon you all.
Ashwin of Lancashire
Lyea lay watching Ash write furiously, as though stopping might wane the courage she was drawing on to write. The tears flowed slowly from her eyes. She understood that this letter was a good bye letter. She studied the beautiful lines of her strong lover’s back; the way her short cropped hair stuck out in all directions; the way the muscles rippled in her arms even as she wrote. She began to plan a way to follow Ash. She would follow her warrior to the ends of the Earth if necessary. Death was preferable to living without this human who had come to mean everything in the world to her.
Ash turned and met the small ones eyes and managed a smile. "No more tears, love. Be brave now, and I'll be back as soon as I can. Just remember how much I love you." So saying she opened her arms as the fairy flew into them, wrapping her wings tightly around the taller woman.
"I'll miss you so much. Please come back soon," whispered lyea into Ash's chest.
"I will little one. I will. Just don't forget me. Now come, go with me to deliver this to Morgan. And there you'll stay, with Nessa and Morgan until I'm far enough gone that you don't come after me." She grinned seeing the crestfallen look on lyea's face. "I know you, love. And I know how stubborn you are. Did you really think I'd leave you alone without a guard right now?"
Suddenly lyea's wings began to crackle with electricity, lighting up the hut like the sun, zapping between wings. "Damn it Ash! You can't do this!! You can't leave this way! You can't! I won't let you go! I won't! I'll die without you, and I'd rather if it means living without you. Don't…" she stopped railing and wept into her small hands.
Ash closed her eyes, turned, picked up the letter, grabbed lyea in her arms, and walked out of the hut, striding quickly to Morgan's hut. Killian and Morgan were standing just inside the door, waiting. Ash raised an eyebrow in question, and Killian smiled wanly.
"I would be feeling this one’s psychic pain even if I didn't have the actual ability" Killian said sadly.
Ash nodded and gently untangled lyea's arms from around her neck. She pushed her toward Morgan with a lump in her throat as the little fairy reached back for her. She handed the letter to Killian saying, "This explains…I have to go…" and with tears streaming down her face, she kissed the palm of her own hand, pressed it against lyea's cheek. Ash turned quickly and ran for the stable. She could hear the nymphs sobs and pleas ringing in her ears.
Lyea sobbed against Morgan, struggling to get away but unable to fight the larger woman's grip. She used every ounce of will she had to refrain from using her magic on the Fianna. She looked out the door as Ash rode hell bent out of the stable, not looking back, hunched hard over her black as night horse, her shoulders shaking in obvious sobs.
Ashwin of Lancashire left the Tribe. Lyea moaned and fainted. She knew she would never see her lover again.
